Hormone Replacement
Estrogen
Estrogen is perhaps the most important hormone in a woman to make her feel like a woman. Estrogen can protect a woman against many of the diseases of aging. Post menopausal women on Estrogen feel better and stay healthier if taken properly.
Progesterone
Natural Progesterone enhances the action of Estrogen. Many patient are known to take Estrogen without Progesterone after hysterectomy. This is seen as an atrocious neglect in an important hormone that will affect them for the rest of their lives. We see multiple "feel good" benefits from this hormone.
Thyroid
This hormone assists with energy to relieve symptoms of sluggishness, forgetfulness, mental confusion, depression, and arthritis-like pain. It also assists in cholesterol regulation and boosts the immune system. Thyroid deficiency is commonly under-diagnosed with standard screening methods. We evaluated this hormone in more detailed method rarely performed by other physicians.
Testosterone
At optimal levels, testosterone increase bone density and bone formation. It increases muscle strength while enhancing energy and sexual function. Testosterone assists in decreasing body fat and moderating cholesterol levels.
DHEA
DHEA is the pre-hormone to several important hormones. Your body needs DHEA to make other hormones and must be monitored closely to avoid excess.
HgH (Human Growth Hormone)
HgH is critical for tissue repair, muscle growth, healing, brain function, physical health, mental health, bone strength, energy, and metabolism.
Hydrocortisone
Commonly known as the "stress hormone." If the hormone is deficient, patients may suffer adrenal fatigue that may be difficult to diagnose when proper levels are not monitored. Adrenal fatigue symptoms can include severe loss of energy.
Melatonin
Perhaps the most commonly misused hormone. This hormone manages your inner clock which affects your sleep/wake cycle.
